Methodology
How Food Score Atlas pins, transforms, reviews, and presents Food Compass records.
Pinned source
Each release pins one upstream artifact, checksum, row count, and publication date. The production site never synchronizes upstream data automatically.
Rows and Foods
All 9,273 Table S5 rows retain a release-scoped source-row ID and original Foodcode. Foodcode is searchable but not unique. A canonical Food is published only after a human approves its complete mapping and Chinese text, bound by checksum.
Scores and comparisons
Food pages show the minimum and maximum observed FCS 2.0 values across all approved mapped Variants. Comparisons report both complete Variant sets; they do not normalize serving sizes or determine a universally better food.
